RPAC "HAWAIIAN HOLIDAY" FUNDRAISER SCHEDULED. . . The RPAC Fundraiser "Hawaiian Holiday" is scheduled for Wednesday, April 30th from 6:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. This year's event will be held at the LaFontaine Bleu and the Committee has a fun-filled evening planned. A $100 Nordstrom Gift Certificate will be awarded to the one with the best Hawaiian outfit. Please mark your calendar and plan to attend. RPAC Committee Members and Members of the Board of Directors have tickets available for your purchase. A reservation form is also available.
WOULD YOU LIKE TO HAVE EXHIBIT SPACE AT THE REALTOR EXPO 2003???. . . The Education Committee has scheduled REALTOR EXPO for Thursday, June 5th. It will be held at the LaFontaine Bleu and many of last year's exhibitors will be returning again this year. There is still some space available, so if your company would like to reserve a booth, please contact Joan at the Association office at 301-306-7900. You will once again be able to take up to six hours of continuing education during the REALTOR Expo so mark your calendar now for a day of education and networking. PGCAR TO HONOR REALTOR VOLUNTEERS AT A RECEPTION ON MAY 22nd . . .So many of our members give back to our community everday and the Association wants to recognize their contributions. If you would like to be recognized at the Reception on May 22nd, please click here for more information and a questionnaire. All forms must be submitted to PGCAR no later than May 15th. More information will follow over the coming weeks.
ARE YOU USING THE MOST RECENT MAR RESIDENTIAL SALES CONTRACT??? . . .MAR updated the Residential Sales Contract in October of 2002. Please check your copies to be sure you are using the most current version. The updated contract is available in the Members' Only Downloadable Documents portion of this website.
NEW MEMBER ORIENTATION . . .All members joining the Association after January 1, 2003 must attend a New Member Orientation within 6 months of their join date. The next New Member Orientation will be held on Thursday, April 24th, at the LaFontaine Bleu. If you plan to attend and have not received a registration form, please contact the Association office at 301-306-7900.
2003 MIDYEAR LEGISLATIVE MEETINGS & TRADE EXPO IS JUST AROUND THE CORNER! . . .From May 13-17, thousands of your colleagues will take part in the most important grassroots lobbying event of the year in Washington DC. 2003 Midyear continues to be a REALTOR's best opportunity to urge federal lawmakers to support legislations that will benefit the real estate industry. Your attendance at 2003 Midyear is also an excellent opportunity for you to show regional support for East Coast real estate interests. Become involved in providing a unified voice on various legislative and regulatory issues affecting your business. Also, be sure to visit the Trade Expo, May 14-16, for the tools you need to get a leg up on the competition. Admission to Expo is FREE to all REALTORS! APRIL AND MAY CONTINUING EDUCATION CLASSES . . . There is still space available in the following classes:
** Please Note: These 3 classes meet the 6 hour requirement for those licensed for more than 10 years. The cost for the 6 hours is $60 for REALTORS and $100 for non-REALTORS. Registration fee for REALTORS is $25 for 3 hours of credit. A $15 late fee is charged if reservations are made less than 3 days prior to any class. NO WALK-INS.
- April 10th - How to Sell HUD Homes. Instructor - Shelly Chlada. 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. 3 hours of MD & DC Continuing Education. Location - LaFontaine Bleu.
- ** April 23rd - MD 6 Hour Required Course consisting of MD Legislative Update (3 hours), MD Legal Update (1.5 hours) and MD Fair Housing (1.5 hours). Instructor - Don Martin. Location - LaFontaine Bleu.
- May 12th - DC Fair Housing. Instructor - Allison Mooney. 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. - 3 hours of DC Continuing Education. NO MD Credit is given for this class. Location - Association Office.
