CANDIDATES FOR BOARD OF DIRECTORS BEING SOUGHT. . . Have you ever thought about serving on the Board of Directors? Candidates are now being sought for the Board of Directors for 2003/2004. Four Directors will be elected this year for two year terms. To qualify to serve as a Director, you must be a member of the Prince George's County Association of REALTORS® in good standing.
To qualify to serve as an officer (Vice President, President-Elect) of the Association, you must have served a two-year term as a Director during the last four years. If you would like to be a candidate, you can obtain a Candidate Form on the website or call the Association office at 301-306-7900 and one will be mailed or faxed to you. All candidate forms must be received no later than July 10, 2003. The Annual Installation Luncheon will be held on Thursday, September 18th, at the LaFontaine Bleu.

WOMEN'S COUNCIL OF REALTORS TO HOLD ANNUAL AUCTION. . . The PGCAR Chapter of the Women's Council of REALTORS® will hold its Annual Auction and Luncheon on Thursday, July 10th, at Allen Pond. NEW MEMBER ORIENTATION REMINDER. . . All members joining the Association after January 1, 2003 MUST ATTEND a New Member Orientation within 6 months of their join date. The next New Member Orientation will be held on Wednesday evening, July 16th, at the LaFontaine Bleu beginning at 5 p.m. If you plan to attend and have not received a registration form, please contact the Association office at 301-306-7900.
COMPLETE YOUR ETHICS TRAINING REQUIREMENTS ON-LINE - FOR FREE - MEMBER REQUIREMENT. . . By December 31, 2004, ALL REALTORS® must take 2 ½ hours of ethics training, as required by NAR'S Code of Ethics and Arbitration Manual. NAR offers two online ethics courses at REALTOR.org that fulfill these obligations: one for new members and one for existing members. Questions can be directed to the Member Policy Department at (312) 329-8399 or the questions link at REALTOR.org. (NOTE: Classes are also being offered by PGCAR on a regular basis.)
JULY CONTINUING EDUCATION CLASSES . . . There is still space available in the following classes:
** Please Note: These 3 classes meet the 6 hour requirement for those licensed for more than 10 years. The cost for the 6 hours is $60 for REALTORS and $100 for non-REALTORS. Registration fee for REALTORS is $25 for 3 hours of credit. A $15 late fee is charged if reservations are made less than 3 days prior to any class. NO WALK-INS.
