That's Who We R®

REALTORS® are real people making a difference everywhere - from our neighborhoods, to our nation's capital.

Partnering with a REALTOR® delivers the peace of mind that comes from working with a real person. A real advocate. A real, trusted professional who is committed to their clients' futures and neighborhoods just as much as they are. Find a Prince George's County REALTOR® here >

The Prince George's County Association of REALTORS® (PGCAR) represents over 3000 REALTORS® and industry-related professionals in Prince George's County, Maryland, and throughout the Washington, DC metropolitan area. PGCAR is the voice of the REALTOR®, working to ensure public policy that encourages homeownership and protects private property rights. The association also serves the business needs of its members by providing education, networking opportunities, news, information and many more services to give REALTORS® the tools they need to be successful.

Voice for Real Estate

The PGCAR public policy team stays in close contact with the Prince George's County Council and local & state legislative leaders. PGCAR works with these policymakers to ensure legislation that encourages homeownership, protects private property rights and does not put burdens on the business of real estate.

Education

PGCAR offers continuing education courses REALTORS® need to maintain their licenses. Courses include topics on professionalism, forms, regulations, emerging trends and the latest products and services.

Local, State & National Network

Every REALTOR® member of PGCAR is also a member of the National Association of REALTORS® and the Maryland REALTORS®, and also has access to their extensive offerings and resources.

Community Involvement

REALTORS® are some of the most active community participants in the nation. Our members exemplify this statement. The association's community involvement includes:

  • Hosting a Holiday Charity fundraiser every December which helps feed hundreds of local families
  • Awarding $10,000 in David and Juanita Maclin Scholarships to graduating high school seniors each year
  • Annual participation in Christmas in April, and so much more!

Supporting Industry Ethics

PGCAR ensures the enforcement of ethical business practices thanks to the association's forum for complaints and recourse for satisfaction. Also, each member is required to complete special ethics training above and beyond what is mandated by law to maintain his / her status as a "REALTOR®."
