Officer and Director Candidate Bios

Yolanda Burgess is the Broker/Owner of Platinum Partners Realty and a licensed Realtor serving Maryland, Washington, DC, and Virginia for over 16 years. She is passionate about helping individuals and families achieve the dream of homeownership while serving as a strong advocate for the real estate profession and the communities she serves. Yolanda currently serves on the Prince George's County Board of Directors and is Co-Chair of the Community Service Committee. She also represents the Association on the Prince George's County Domestic Violence Workgroup, collaborating with community leaders and policymakers to assist the county by examining and proposing solutions to reduce domestic violence and enhance victim support in Prince George's County.

Beyond her association leadership, Yolanda has dedicated years to educating first-time homebuyers, mentoring aspiring real estate professionals, and presenting workshops for individuals transitioning back into the community. She is also a featured homebuyer expert on HGTV's House Hunters, where she helped clients navigate one of life's most important investments. She is a firm believer in always giving exceptional customer service. Being from a military family and growing up in Germany have afforded her leadership skills and values that she incorporates into her day-to-day life.

Yolanda Burgess is committed to helping her community in any way she can; she founded Cheerful Givers in 2012, which supports homeless men's shelters by providing toiletries and other basic items they may need. In 2018, she founded Burgess Team Properties, LLC, which manages properties.

Yolanda Burgess was Co-Chair of the Housing Affordability Committee in 2019 and the Professional Enhancement Committee in 2020; 2024 Prince George's County Realtist, NAREB; 2026 WREBA (Washington Real Estate Brokers Association). She has been a member of PGCAR since 2010 and has served on the Board of Directors to continue advocating for Realtors, strengthening member engagement, promoting professional excellence, and ensuring every member has a voice in shaping the future of our Association. She believes that through servant leadership, collaboration, and integrity, we can continue building a stronger profession while expanding opportunities for homeownership throughout Prince George's County.
