  CREDENTIALS COMMITTEE RELEASES LIST OF CANDIDATES FOR 2001/02 ELECTION OF OFFICERS AND DIRECTORS. . . Association President Wayne Wyvill announced that the Credentials Committee has released the list of candidates for office for the Associationís 2001/02 Election of Officers and Directors.  The list is as follows: Iona Harrison - President-Elect and Connie Stommel - Vice President.  Four Directors will be elected from the following: Patricia Dowtin, Lee Goldstein, David Maclin, Bea Rodgers and Stu Stern.  As provided in Association Bylaws, President-Elect Boyd Campbell will become President as of October 1, 2001.  Election Supervisors will validate the ballots on September 26th. Ballots will be mailed to all members the first week in September.

ANNUAL INSTALLATION RECEPTION. . . Boyd Campbell, Century 21 Home Center, will be installed as President of our Association on Thursday evening, September 27th.  The Reception will be held in the Atrium of the Association Office located at 8400 Corporate Drive, Landover, Maryland, from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.  Information is available on our website,

EDUCATION DAY!!!. . . PGCAR will hold its first Education Day on Thursday, October 11th, at the LaFontaine Bleu in Lanham.  In addition to conducting 12 hours of continuing education, there will be an exhibit area with 25 sponsors available to provide you with important information, services and products.  The day long program will conclude with a reception to allow you time to network and visit with fellow REALTORS.  Flyers were mailed to all members last week. 

JULY AND AUGUST CONTINUING EDUCATION CLASSES . . . There is still space available in the following classes:   August 8th - Fair Housing. Instructor - Allison Mooney.  Class begins at 9:30 a.m. and is approved for 3 hours of Maryland and D. C. continuing education.  August 16th - What You Donít Know About Credit Can Hurt You.  Instructor - Matt Tove.  Class beings at 6:00 p.m. and is approved for 3 hours of continuing education in Maryland.   August 20th - Environmental Issues.  Instructor - Walter Clews.  Class beings at 9:30 a.m. and is approved for 3 hours of continuing education in Maryland   Classes will be held at the Association office and the registration fee is $25.  For more information call the Association office at 301-306-7900 or visit our website at
