UNLOCK YOUR DOOR TO SUCCESS . . . The time to register is running short. Don't miss out on your chance to attend the 2004 REALTOR® EXPO AND TRADE SHOW at LaFontaine Bleu on Wednesday, May 19th. The REALTOR® Expo provides an opportunity to complete six hours of continuing education in one day, obtain information from the exhibitors, and to network with your fellow REALTORS®. Registration will begin at 8 a.m. with a continental breakfast. Lunch and a Reception are also included in the registration. Will you win a Palm Pilot? All registrants are eligible for the drawing. CANDIDATES FOR BOARD OF DIRECTORS BEING SOUGHT . . . Have you ever thought about serving on the Board of Directors? Candidates are now being sought for the Board of Directors for 2004/2005. Four Directors will be elected this year for two year terms. To qualify to serve as a Director, you must be a member of the Prince George's County Association of REALTORS® in good standing.

To qualify to serve as an officer (Vice President, President-Elect) of the Association, you must have served a two-year term as a Director during the last four years. If you would like to be a candidate, you can obtain a Candidate Form on the website or call the Association office at 301-306-7900 and one will be mailed or faxed to you. In order to be considered, your candidate form must be received no later than June 30, 2004. The Annual Installation Reception is tentatively scheduled for Thursday evening, September 9th. More information will follow as plans are finalized.

REMINDER OF ETHICS TRAINING REQUIREMENT . . . The countdown is on. NAR's quadrennial ethics requirement gives every member until December 31, 2004, to take an approved Code of Ethics course. Failure to satisfy this requirement shall be considered a violation of a membership duty for which REALTOR® membership shall be suspended until such time as the training is completed. NAR offers two online ethics courses at that fulfill these obligations: one for new members and one for existing members. The on-line courses are available from any screen of under "Quick links". Questions can be directed to: Member Policy Dept. (NOTE: Classes are also being offered by PGCAR on a regular basis. Classes will be offered on May 19th and June 21st.

2004 AWARDS NOMINATIONS . . . Forms are available to nominate the REALTOR® of the Year (ROTY), Affiliate of the Year, Distinguished Sales Associate, and Community Service Award recipient. REALTOR® VOLUNTEER RECOGNITION RECEPTION . . . The Community Service Committee of the Prince George's County Association of REALTORS® will once again honor REALTORS® for their volunteer efforts in the Community. If you volunteer, please contact the Association office to obtain a questionnaire or go to our website at The Recognition Reception will be held at the LaFontaine Bleu on June 3rd, 2004, from 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.

3 hours of MD and DC Continuing Education Credit.

June 14th - Ethics
Instructor - Allison Mooney. 1:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. LaFontaine Bleu.
3 hours of MD and DC Continuing Education Credit.

June 17th - The Current Environment of Mold in Real Estate.
Instructor - Matthew Cooper. 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. LaFontaine Bleu.
3 hours of MD and DC Continuing Education Credit.

June 24th - MD 6 Hour Required Course consisting of MD Legislative Update (3 hours), MD Legal Update (1.5 hours) and MD Fair Housing (1.5 hours). Instructor - Don Martin. LaFontaine Bleu.
All three classes count for 6 hours of MD and DC Continuing Education Credit.
