BEA RODGERS INSTALLED AS PGCAR PRESIDENT
Bea Rodgers was installed as President of the Prince George's County Association of REALTORS® at the Annual Installation Reception at Mt. Airy Mansion. She has served as Chair of the Education and Membership Committees and has served on the Board of Directors since 2000. Bea has served as President of the Prince George's County Chapter of the Women's Council in both 1994 and 2001. She is also very active with the Maryland Association. Also elected to serve on the 2005 Board of Directors were: David Maclin, President-Elect; Don Frederick, Vice President and Directors Alease Bowles, Art Greene, Willie Rhone and Linda Simpson. They will serve along with Past President Connie Stommel and Directors Pat Dowtin, John Lesniewski, Stu Stern and Ruth Wright.

Congratulations to the following members who received special recognition at the annual Installation Reception.
The Awards Committee's unanimous choice for PGCAR'S REALTOR® of the Year for 2004 is CONNIE STOMMEL. Connie has demonstrated business accomplishment, faithfulness to the Code of Ethics and civic and community involvement. Connie has recently opened her own Company, Exit 1 Stop Realty. Connie has also participated on the State and National level to a degree which makes her truly worth of the title "REALTOR® OF THE YEAR". We are so proud to congratulate Connie on receiving this honor.
The Board of Directors has authorized the President to annually select an individual who through past service to the Association is worthy of receipt of the Distinguished Service Award. This year, Connie selected to honor a very special REALTOR® to receive the Distinguished Service Award. This member has served this Association unselfishly for many years. He has served as Chairman of many of our Association Committees and has served as a Director and Secretary/Treasurer of the Association. He is always willing to take on any task to benefit the Association and this year serves as the Chair of the Community Service/Cultural Diversity Committee. This year's Distinguished Service Award was presented to a member who truly deserves special recognition, ART GREENE.
This year's recipient of the Distinguished Sales Association Award is THELMA HARVEY. Thelma was selected based on her professional knowledge, business accomplishment, civic activity and especially for her contribution to this Association and the real estate industry. Thelma has been very active at the local Association level and is very well-respected and admired by all who know her. She has served on many Association committees and she currently serves on the Professional Standards Committee. Congratulations, Thelma.
The Association is so appreciative of its Affiliate Members and the support that they give to the Association. This year, ELSIE SMART was recognized as PGCAR'S Affiliate of the Year. Elsie was selected based on her unselfish participation in local Association functions and her tireless service to both the Association and the Women's Council. She was also recognized for her business accomplishments, fair business practices and Affiliate spirit over the years. Please join us in congratulating Elsie.
