Holiday Charity Event and Food Distribution
Annual Community Event Since December 2008
PGCAR first put out a call in mid-November 2008 to feed 400 families for the holidays. We soared past that goal and fed 700 families, in 2008 alone. In the last seven years PGCAR members have raised enough money to fill more than 4000 holiday food baskets for local families in need. In 2012 alone, PGCAR gave $4,000 to the Prince George's County Public Safety Assistance Program. In addition to the $4,000, PGCAR donated 320 pounds of food to the PSAP. PGCAR also donated 18 large bags of coats to Mission of Love. Thank you for your generosity and community spirit!
Christmas in April
Christmas in April is an annual project supported by the Prince George's County Association of REALTORS® Community Service Committee. Each year we have an outstanding response from volunteers who spend a Saturday in late April doing repairs and maintenance for a deserving Prince George's County homeowner who needed the help. Please volunteer for the next Christmas in April!
