Prince George's County Elected Officials Address REALTORS®
Over 100 REALTORS® attended the PGCAR Legislative Breakfast on November 14th held at Martin's Crosswinds in Greenbelt. The event, organized by the Association's Legislative Committee under the supervision of Chair, Carlos Lancaster, was another huge success.
REALTORS® in attendance were excited to hear from Senator Joanne Benson, former House Delegation Chair Jay Walker, and County Council Chair Dannielle Glaros.

All in attendance were excited to learn about the incredible opportunities and growth that Prince George's County continues to experience. With the housing market remaining strong and active, the anticipated arrival of the University of Maryland Capital Region Medical Center, approval of the Council's Zoning Ordinance Rewrite and the federal Qualified Opportunity Zone (QOZ) program established by the 2017 "Tax Cuts and Jobs Act," Prince George's County is poised for smart growth and economic development.
Senator Benson, who spoke on behalf of the Prince George's County Senate Delegation, recognized REALTORS® not only for their commitment and dedication to the industry and Prince George's County, but also for their partnership and strong interest in helping youths through mentoring opportunities within Prince George's County Schools. As the largest trade association in Prince George's County, REALTORS® were encouraged to continue to foster and cultivate the mentorship program.
Many of our Prince George's County Senators, Delegates and County Council officials, including three (3) recently elected REALTOR® Champions: Council Member Jolene Ivey, representing District 5, REALTOR®; Council Member Monique Anderson-Walker, representing District 8, REALTOR®; and Sydney Harrison representing Council District 9, former licensee and REALTOR®, attended this year's event and enjoyed the interaction and networking opportunity that the Annual Legislative Breakfast provided.
