PGCAR Hosts Legislative Breakfast

On December 8, 100 REALTORS®, colleagues, and friends attended the Prince George's County Association of REALTORS® Annual Legislative Breakfast held at Martin's Crosswinds in Greenbelt, Maryland. This annual event was organized by PGCAR's Legislative Committee under the supervision of 2023 Legislative Committee Chair, Charisse Callender-Scott.

REALTORS® in attendance were excited to hear from Prince George's Senate Delegation Chair, Joanne Benson; Prince George's County House Delegation Chair, Nick Charles; Congressman-Elect Glenn Ivey; County Council Chair Tom Dernoga and County Council Vice-Chair Wala Blegay.

Speakers addressed real estate related issues such as rent stabilization, appraisal bias, affordable housing and many more REALTOR® centric topics that affect communities and consumers!

"We host this annual event to encourage members to get to know their local representatives. REALTORS® benefit immensely in knowing local officials when clients ask questions about real-life concerns such as trash collection, commercial vehicle parking, zoning and government services," said PGCAR President Rachel Jefferies.
